Planning Your Family Photoshoot

  • [ Step One ] Book Your Photoshoot

As soon as you have decided to be photographed, be sure to reserve your session. The busy season for family photos is September - December, and sessions fill up quickly.

The session fee is due to secure your photoshoot. This fee covers your photoshoot time and the costs associated with planning, styling, shooting, and viewing your session.

Once you have secured your session, we will email you a questionnaire to start the photoshoot planning process.

  • { Step Two } Experience The Photoshoot Magic

Family portrait sessions last up to one hour for your immediate family and include several poses and arrangements, including sibling arrangements, kids with parents, mom and dad couples-styled images, individual shots of the children, and posed and candid pictures of the family.

  • { Step Three } View Order & Enjoy Your Photos

Once your session is completed, we will schedule a view and order appointment. Your portrait package is sold separately.

We offer full-resolution digital files, heirloom-quality printed art pieces, and packages that combine both digital and printed art.

We are a full-service studio, which means your portraits can be printed and framed, wrapped in canvas, or arranged in a beautiful heirloom album.

Year after year, their homes are filled with love and magical memories because they know how important capturing each milestone and moment is. When should I book a family photoshoot?

As a family photographer for 20 years, I have to say I love all of the seasons. But my favorite seasons to shoot family portraits outdoors are Spring, Summer, and Fall. Winter family portrait sessions are best in the studio. If you plan to schedule a holiday family session, be sure to pre-book your photoshoot in September, as the busiest time for family portraits is October - December.

What do I need to prepare for my family photos?

Family portrait sessions last up to one hour and include several poses and arrangements for your family. As your family photographer, I know that variety is key. I’ll include several family poses, including sibling arrangements, mom and dad—couples-styled images, individual shots of the children, and posed and candid pictures of the family. Once your session has been secured, I'll send a questionnaire so that I can get started with planning your photos. The most important part of preparing for family photos will be shopping for comfortable and coordinating clothing for your family.

How much do family photos cost?

Quality professional photography is considered an investment in your family's art. I know that budget is an important factor when choosing a family photographer and I have a variety of packages to accommodate. Prices range depending on your photographic needs. Most clients invest between $750 and $2000 for their family portrait collection. We offer full-resolution digital files, heirloom-quality printed art pieces, and packages that combine digital and printed art.

We are a full-service studio, which means your portraits can be printed and framed, wrapped in canvas, or arranged in a beautiful heirloom album.

Why Choose a Professional Family Photographer?

Choosing the right family photographer is essential in capturing the moments that mean the most to you. As a dedicated family photographer with nearly 20 years of experience, I understand the importance of creating images that reflect the unique dynamics and bonds within your family. A professional family photographer knows how to capture those fleeting moments of connection, joy, and love that make your family special. Whether in my Murrieta studio or an outdoor location in Temecula, I aim to be the family photographer who brings out the best in your family's portraits.

Custom Family Photography Experiences

Every family is unique, and your family photography session should reflect that individuality. As your chosen family photographer, I work closely with you to ensure that your vision comes to life in each photograph. Whether you prefer a traditional family portrait or a more candid and natural approach, I offer a range of family photography options to suit your needs. From beach sessions to mountain backdrops, I am the family photographer who can create beautiful, timeless images that you will treasure forever.

The Importance of a Family Photographer

Investing in a family photographer is more than just taking pictures—it's about preserving memories that will be cherished for generations. A skilled family photographer not only captures the likeness of your family but also the emotions and relationships that define who you are as a unit. With my expertise as a family photographer, I am committed to providing you with a photography experience that is enjoyable, relaxed, and tailored to your family's style.
