As a mother of three and a professional photographer with 20 years of experience, there’s nothing I love more than capturing the magic of family connections. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the Rocco family in Murrieta, and let me tell you, it was a session to remember!
The Rocco family—mom, dad, and their three energetic daughters—traveled over 60 miles, both ways, just to have their family photos taken by me. Talk about dedication! This was their first-ever family photoshoot, and I knew I had to make it extra special.
A Fun and Memorable First Photoshoot
The Rocco family arrived at our beautiful photoshoot location, ready to have some fun. The girls, despite being new to the whole experience, were naturals in front of the camera. From the moment we started, their playful energy filled the session with laughter and joy. Whether they were striking a pose or caught in a candid moment of sibling giggles, the images captured were pure gold.
We began with some traditional family portraits, which always hold a special place in any family photo collection. The girls stood proudly with their parents, showing off their best smiles. But, as always with kids, the candid moments stole the show—like when the youngest daughter tried to sneak a tickle on her sister, and the spontaneous laughter that followed.
A Variety of Images to Treasure
What makes a family photoshoot truly special is the variety of images we can create together. With the Rocco family, we mixed things up with some candid shots of the girls running along the path, their hair catching the golden light of the late afternoon sun. Then, we shifted gears to capture some romantic couples' photos of mom and dad—because parents deserve a moment in the spotlight too! They hadn’t had photos taken of just the two of them since their wedding, and the love between them was so palpable that it practically glowed through the lens.
We didn’t stop there. We took individual portraits of each of the girls, allowing their unique personalities to shine. Whether they were giving me their best model pose or simply being their goofy selves, every shot was a testament to their bright spirits and the close bond they share as a family.
